What is the difference between an MCB and an MCCB?
MCCBs are used for higher currents than MCBs, often with adjustable overload settings and higher breaking capacity. They protect main incomers and feeders, while MCBs protect final circuits.
Should I choose a 3 pole or 4 pole MCCB?
A 4 pole MCCB also switches the neutral. It is used where the neutral must be isolated, for example with generator changeover or some distribution systems. Otherwise a 3 pole MCCB is used.
