What we supply
A changeover switch moves a load between two supplies, such as mains and a generator, without connecting them together. We supply on-load changeover switches for main panels: Siemens SINOPLUS 3KJ from 63 to 3150 A, L&T (Lauritz Knudsen) C-Line from 63 to 2000 A (manual and motorised) and Schneider Electric Compact INS source changeovers from 100 to 630 A, all 4 pole. For distribution boards we supply Schneider Acti9 modular changeover switches from 25 to 63 A.
For control panels we stock L&T rotary isolators and changeover switches, Siemens 3LD rotary changeovers from 6 to 100 A, Salzer cam operated rotary switches from 6 to 400 A, Salzer ammeter and voltmeter selector switches, and Salzer load break isolators, including isolators for solar PV.

What is the difference between a changeover switch and an isolator?
An isolator switches one supply on or off for safe maintenance. A changeover switch selects between two supplies, for example mains (I), off (0) and generator (II), so the two can never be connected together.
What is an on-load changeover switch?
One that can safely switch the full load current, rated for AC-23 duty, so you can change over without first switching off every load. Siemens 3KJ and L&T C-Line are on-load changeover switch-disconnectors.
Which rating do I need?
Choose a changeover rated at or above the incoming supply, usually matching the main breaker. Tell us the incomer rating and the number of poles, and we will suggest the model.
