Who we are
Chirag Electricals is an industrial electrical supplier, a proprietorship business registered for GST (GSTIN 27ALEPK9027G1Z1), at Shop No. 25, Dewan Apt, Navghar Road, Vasai (E), Dist. Palghar 401210, Maharashtra, India. In this policy “we” and “us” mean Chirag Electricals, and “you” means a visitor to chiragelectricals.in or a customer.
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who it is shared with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
Details you send us. When you ask for a quote or place an order through the quote form, WhatsApp, a phone call, email or a visit to our shop, we receive what you choose to share: usually your name, phone number, company name, the products and quantities you need, and, for an order, your GSTIN, billing name, delivery address and payment details such as a bank or UPI reference.
The quote form. The form on our contact page does not send anything to our website or store it on our server. When you press Send on WhatsApp or Send by email, it opens your own WhatsApp or email app with the message ready, and nothing is sent until you send it there.
Your quote list. Products you add with Add to quote are saved only in your own browser (its local storage), so the list is still there when you come back. It is not sent to us unless you send your quote. You can remove it at any time with Clear list or by clearing your browser data.
Technical data. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time, to run and protect the website.
No tracking. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
How we use your details
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry with availability and rates, to prepare quotations, to process and deliver orders, to issue GST invoices and keep accounts, to follow up on quotes and payments, and to send you messages about your order.
If you are a customer, we may occasionally send you a WhatsApp message about new stock or updated price lists. Reply STOP, or tell us, and we will not send these again.
Services we use
WhatsApp (Meta) and our email provider carry the messages you send us; their own privacy policies apply to how they handle them. The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address. Links to Google Maps open Google's site. The website is hosted by Hostinger.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only as needed to serve you: with transporters and couriers to deliver your order, with our chartered accountant and the tax authorities for GST and accounts, with banks and payment providers for payments, and with authorities when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and quotation details for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and then delete them when they are no longer needed. Invoices and order records are kept for as long as GST and tax laws require, currently at least six years.
How we protect it
We take reasonable care to keep your details safe, limit access to the people who need them to serve you, and use secure (HTTPS) connections on our website. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so please do not send passwords or card numbers to us.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or update it, ask us to delete it (except records the law requires us to keep), withdraw your consent for messages, and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you.
To make a request, contact us on WhatsApp +91 93212 25156 or info@chiragelectricals.in. We will reply within a reasonable time and within any period set by law. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
Our products and this website are meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18.
